Sinister / Concept
A creative studio & event production company

A creative agency run by real creatives.

We work with independent businesses that have something real to say and need a creative partner who actually gets it. Brand systems, websites, publishing, events. Flat rates, plain language, no agency overhead.

§ 01 — The Shop

Talented makers; underbuilt businesses.

Most consultants and agencies that approach this audience have no cultural credibility in it. We have both. We speak the language because we live in it. We have sat on the other side of the table, running the booth, opening the shop, packing the orders.

We are a creative studio and event production company serving makers, merchants and independent businesses who have built something meaningful on their own terms.

Our job is the other half: the brand systems, the wholesale launches, the websites, the launch plans, the festivals. The work that turns a craft into something that can carry someone’s rent.

sin·is·ter · Latin, adj. Of the left.
What you won’t get from us
  • A 12-month retainer to cover 6 weeks of work.
  • A junior account manager as your day-to-day contact.
  • An invoice for “discovery” before we’ve said anything useful.
  • A brand guide so long it never gets opened.
  • Scope creep billed by the hour.
  • Anyone sanding your aesthetic down to fit their portfolio.
Who we serve

Independent makers and small-batch product creators · specialty retailers, curated shops and alternative markets · bars, venues and gathering places · practitioners, performers and working artists · subculture and esoteric brands that resist easy categorization · small-press and self-publishers who need more than a manuscript.

§ 02 — The Studio

Creative services, priced for people who actually make things.

The Studio is the creative arm. Brand systems, retail strategy, websites, launches. We work in fixed scopes with plain-language pricing. No retainers built to outlast the work, no decks that go nowhere.

We treat the business side the way you treat your craft: carefully, on purpose, and with respect for the materials. That means real positioning, not just a logo refresh. Real wholesale plans, not a pitch deck. Real websites that load and convert.

A typical engagement runs four to eight weeks. We will quote you flat, write the scope down, and tell you when something is outside our lane. If you need a partner that won’t flinch at your aesthetic or your audience, that’s us.

On pricing. We scope flat, not hourly. No discovery invoices, no surprise line items. Our rates are built for independent businesses, not agency clients, and every quote is written in plain language before any work begins. If another studio has already priced you out of the conversation, start here. Rate card available on request.

We also produce events and publish books.

Sinister Concept runs two full-service arms alongside the Studio. We produce and consult on independent events at every scale. We publish books and offer complete author services from manuscript to market. Both arms take on client work. Both have our own productions as proof of what we deliver.
